Responsibilities

The Clinical Coordinator, under the general direction of the Unit Manager, provides leadership, makes decisions and sets goals to assure that the unit meets or exceeds the defined standards of care for the unit and patients served. The Clinical Coordinator functions as unit supervisor and assists the Unit Manager with managing the operation of the unit and overseeing patient care, including 24-hour responsibility and accountability.  In addition to management activities, the Clinical Coordinator provides direct patient care.

Qualifications

Education Background 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • BSN or Masters preferred

Licensure, Registration, Certification 

  • Current Washington State licensure as Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certification in specialty preferred.

Special Training/Skills 

  • Management training preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.

Work Experience 

  • Minimum of three years clinical experience required.
  • One year of previous management experience preferred.

Physical Abilities 

  • Must be able to handle a fluctuating workload
  • This job requires ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with all stakeholders (providers, caregivers, patients, family members) for the effective treatment of patients.
