Works with managers and other staff in Construction & Property Management regarding the administration of projects for both hospital and outpatient clinics, including new buildings, remodels, major & minor space alterations, allocations & improvement of buildings & equipment, signage, relocation of staff/clinics/departments, interior design, planning, fixture specification and budgeting for capital & maintenance projects.

  • Coordinate and supervise projects including, but not limited to, staff/department/clinic moves, painting, carpeting, furniture installation.
  • Schedule and/or participate in construction meetings or as construction/property management representative in cross disciplinary workgroup meetings. Take meeting minutes.
  • Track project expenses, process Construction Administration paper work, and review invoices.
  • Specify, order, and track furnishings and fixtures for projects
  • Maintain supply of interior furnishes and finish options for selection
  • Involved with various aspects of project planning, including but not limited to:
    • Interior furnishing and finish selection recommendations
    • Space planning
    • Construction and soft cost budgeting for construction and ad hoc projects
    • Communications to stakeholders
    • Follow-up
  • Revise fire plans, evacuation plans and other documents as requested
  • Responsible for ordering, producing & installation of signage including campus wayfinding, medical office buildings, offsite clinics and updating the electronic directories
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining current floor plans for hospital & medical office buildings
  • Administer and monitor Interim Life Safety Measures and Infection Control Risk Assessment policies to vendors
  • Create and prepare color boards and floor plans for presentations
  • Assist with preparation of power point preparations as requested
  • Maintain inventory of furnishings in storage available for use
  • Work closely with Plant Engineering on communication and coordination of project schedules
  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to, filing, scheduling meetings and organizing project binders, etc.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as directed by Manager.


Education Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Additional years of related experience or a combination of additional experience and years of college coursework may be substituted for degree with Sr Director approval.

Special Training/Skills

  • Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Additionally, working knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint would be preferred.
    Detailed oriented.
    Demonstrates effective communication skills, which are appropriate for a wide variety of situations. Oral, written and electronic communication are effective and convey desired message and/or information completely, consistently and in a timely manner.

Work Experience

  1. At least two years of related experience.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to walk through construction sites.
Must be able to perform essential functions, which will require:
o Long periods of sitting
o Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
o Driving


Physical Demand Level:  Medium

In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-
