    Responsibilities

    Enables UW Medicine/NWH practitioners to achieve improved clinical quality and patient health outcomes.  Works with practitioners using the quality management tools in the Electronic Health Record and other reporting systems, to support their participation on pay-for-performance and pay-for-value initiatives. Responsible for keeping existing quality program support up-to-date, resolving client issues as well as overseeing medium to large scale, long-term projects related to topics such as population health, value based payment models, and risk based contracts.

    Qualifications

    Education Background

    • BA/BS Degree required
    • Masters Degree preferred

     

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

    • None required

    Special Training/Skills

    • Ability to work both independently on projects and as part of the larger team.
    • Ability to instruct others, especially peers and clients, to explain clinical and technical concepts.
    • Proven experience in effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey a positive and professional image in person, and to interact effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
    • Demonstrated analytical, critical reasoning and quantitative skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment.
    • Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and challenges.
    • Professional attitude – comfortable working in a corporate setting populated by diverse types of people and able to maintain poise and a sense of humor in stressful situations.
    • Understanding of medical terminology and EMRs.
    • Strong computer skills, including MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Work Experience

    • 5 plus years of related experience required, including work in healthcare.
    • Previous management experience preferred.
