Patient Care / Anesthesia
Growth & Development
Checks schedule at beginning of shift.
Checks Pharmacy and Stores par levels and expiration dates. Places orders and picks up from pharmacy or Stores as necessary.
· Delivers anesthesia carts to appropriate OR (physician specific). Plugs in gases and scavenging. Places clean CO2 tubing on CO2 monitors. Calibrates O2 sensors. Stocks carts with supplies.
Assists M.D. with intubation and extubation. Assists in the positioning of patients during regional blocks.
Secures Anesthesia carts and Anesthesia workroom supplies at end of shift.
Performs other related duties as required.
Spikes IV’s for PSA if needed.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Typically works indoors in an air-conditioned aseptic environment requiring special attire. Hours of work may extend to call coverage, nights, and weekends.
