    Organizes workflow, oversees day-to-day operations, and manages personnel, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient functioning, quality services, and cost effectiveness of assigned sections within the Admitting Department (e.g., Staffing, Financial Counseling, or Training /Quality Control/Patient Access). 


    Education Background

    • Requires High school or GED.
    • Associate or bachelor degree preferred.

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

    • None required

    Special Training/Skills 

    • Requires knowledge of Admitting policies and procedures
    • Requires previous experience with admitting computer applications and common office automation systems (email, Word, Excel, etc).
    • Requires experience with training adults.
    • Medical terminology preferred. 
    • Typing skills required (minimum 40 wpm). 

    Work Experience

    • Requires three years of Admitting experience,
    • Requires at least one year of supervisory or lead experience.

    Physical Abilities

    • Incumbent may be positioned behind a desk or at a computer terminal for periods of four hours at a time.

    Physical Demand Level:  Sedentary

    In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-

    Lift / Carry 10 pounds occasionally


    As required, must be able to-

    Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl, Climb and Reach above shoulders

    Push and Pull

    Perform fine motor functions

    Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively with clients, client advocates, and staff.
