    Responsibilities

    The Pharmacy Technician performs assigned pharmacy services activities under the general supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist. Assigned responsibilities are consistent with the individual's training and experience and with the law.            *CA                  AH123

    Qualifications

    Education Background 

    • Completion of an accredited/approved pharmacy technician training program.

    Licensure, Registration, Certification 

    • Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Washington.
    • Pharmacy Technician Board Certification preferred.
    • Current Driver’s License and clean driving record (If driving is required).

    Work Experience

    • Hospital experience preferred.

    Physical Abilities

    • Must have the manual dexterity sufficient for keyboarding and medication preparation for dispensing, including preparation of parenteral products.

    Physical Demand Level:  Medium

    In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-

    Lift / Carry

    20 to 50 pounds occasionally

    10 to 25 pounds frequently

    up to 10 pounds constantly

     

    As required, must be able to-

    Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl, Climb and Reach above shoulders

    Push and Pull

    Perform fine motor functions

    Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively with clients, client advocates, and staff.
