    All UW Medicine entities require regulatory, compliance, clinical, security and operational training to be created and delivered.  This position will provide centralized professional design and development services here at Northwest Hospital while interfacing with the UW Medicine LMS IT Team to meet enterprise project goals.  


    Contributes to the business strategy of rapid educational product development and delivery. The training content developer will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, graphics, video and audio to educate and deliver products to clients in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to: eLearning, classroom, hands-on, and virtual. This role interacts heavily among all core areas of the organization, using our design methodology, and are aligned with organizational needs.


    The role consults with a diverse group of subject matter experts to create the training approach, delivery platform, goals and objectives for each learning program; assess and identify system training needs, administer training plans and serve as the primary contact for curriculum development.


    Education Background

    • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, healthcare, English, organizational development or related field.  Master's preferred.

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

    • None required

    Work Experience

    • Four to five years of related experience required.
    • Experience with development of comprehensive training programs that integrate information technology solutions with end-user workflow and process design
    • Prior work soliciting and analyzing organization business and training requirements
    • Experience with eLearning content integration standards with learning management systems (AICC, SCORM)
    • Proficiency in designing and developing curriculum for adult learners in a workplace setting using standardized curriculum design methodology required, clinical or academic healthcare setting preferred.

    Special Training/Skills

    • Proficient with eLearning and multi-medica authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Lectora etc)

    • Fast-paced, self-motivated working style and multi-tasking ability

    • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    • Ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter to organization leadership in English, both verbally and in writing.

    Physical Abilities

    • Able to sit for several hours with occasional rest breaks. 
    • Able to move between departments and or buildings.

    Physical Demand Level:  Sedentary
    In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-
    Lift / Carry 10 pounds occasionally

    As required, must be able to-
